In recent years, with the development of mining and technological progress, people's attention to mine safety has been increasing. Especially in the mining industry, safety is the primary consideration. In order to ensure the safety of mining production, we need to select suitable mining cables and use them correctly. This article will introduce the selection principles of mining cables in detail to improve the safety level of mines.
First, in the vertical shaft or the shaft with an inclination of 45° or above 45°, people should use PVC insulated thick steel wire armored PVC sheathed power cables or cross-linked polyethylene insulated thick steel wire armored PVC sheathed mining power cables. These cables have high mechanical strength and high temperature resistance, can withstand complex mining environments, and ensure stable power transmission.
Secondly, in horizontal tunnels or in shafts with an inclination of less than 45°, PVC insulated steel belts or fine steel wire armored PVC sheathed power cables should be used; cross-linked polyethylene steel belts or fine steel wire armored PVC sheathed mining power cables. These cables have good moisture and erosion resistance and are suitable for use in mines.
People can use aluminum core cables in the wind inlet inclined shaft, the bottom parking lot, and the vicinity of these locations, and between the central substation and the mining area substation, but copper core cables must be used in other locations. Copper core cables have higher conductivity and thermal stability, which can effectively reduce power loss and improve mine production efficiency.
Low-voltage mining cables that need to be fixedly laid should use Iv armored or unarmored mobile rubber-sheathed soft cables of corresponding voltage levels. These cables have good bending properties and are convenient for fixed laying in mines.
High and low voltage cables that are not fixed must use rubber-sheathed soft cables that meet the 1r818 standard. Mobile and handheld electrical equipment should use special mining rubber-sheathed cables.
Cables for lighting, communication, signaling and control purposes should use armored communication cables, mining rubber-sheathed cables or mining M-type plastic power cables.
