Definition of PV1-F Solar Cable
PV1-F solar cable is a type of wire specifically designed for photovoltaic (PV) systems. It is used to connect solar panels to the inverter, batteries, or other electrical components in a solar power system. The PV1-F designation indicates that the cable meets specific international standards, including TÜV and IEC, for use in solar installations.
UV Resistance
Solar panels are installed where there’s maximum sunlight exposure. That means the cables connected with them are susceptible to UV radiation. PV1-F solar cables are UV-resistant, so they stay intact even when exposed to direct sunlight for hours at end.
Weather Resistance
PV1-F solar cables have to deal with weather elements too, as they are mostly installed outdoors. The materials are weatherproof so rain, snow, dust, or moisture does not harm the cables. Some of the cables are also rated for immersion in water.
Easy and Safe Installation

Applications of PV1-F Solar Cable
Solar cables PV1-F acc. to 2 PfG 1169/08, are intended for use in Photovoltaic Power Supply Systems at nominal voltage rate up to 1,8kV D.C.
They are suitable for applications indoor and/or outdoor, in industrial and agriculture fields, in/at equipment with protective insulation (Protecting Class II), in explosion hazard areas. They may be installed fixed, freely suspended or free movable, in cable trays, conduits, on and in walls.
Operating temperature range of -40°C to 90°C on the conductor, providing reliable performance in a wide range of temperatures.
Overload temperature of 120°C on the conductor, ensuring stable operation even in demanding conditions.
Expected lifetime of more than 25 years, providing reliable performance for the lifetime of a solar system.
Rated voltage of 1800 V DC, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of solar system components.
Maximum temperature in case of short circuit of 250°C on the conductor, with a maximum duration of 5 seconds, for added safety in high-current applications.
Minimum bending radius of 4 times the outer diameter of the cable, ensuring flexibility and ease of installation.
Minimum installation temperature of -25°C, making it suitable for use in cold environments.
Maximum laying stress during installation for added durability and longevity.
