1. Name meaning:
R: Represents a soft conductor (usually composed of multiple thin copper wires twisted together to make it soft and easy to bend).
V: The first V represents that the insulation material of the conductor is polyvinyl chloride.

2. Structural composition:
Conductor: It is usually made of multiple strands of finely annealed oxygen free copper wire twisted together (compliant with Class 5 conductors in GB/T 3956 standard), which makes the cable very flexible and easy to lay and wire.
Insulation layer: Each conductor is wrapped with a layer of polyvinyl chloride insulation material. The insulation layers of different core wires are usually distinguished by different colors (such as red, yellow, green, blue, yellow green, etc.) for easy identification.
Filling (optional): In multi-core cables, the gaps between the core wires are sometimes filled with non hygroscopic materials (such as polypropylene ropes) to keep the cable round and intact.
Sheath layer: A layer of polyvinyl chloride sheath is wrapped around all insulated core wires (and possible fillers) as a whole. This protective sheath provides mechanical protection, certain moisture and oil resistance, and integrates multiple core wires together. The sheath is usually gray or white, but there are also black or other colors.
